After 13 years of Ian Laird being CEO of Alex Begg, the Board of Alex Begg has appointed Bruno Guillon to become the new CEO.

Bruno knows the Alex Begg business well as he has been a positive contributor in a Non-Executive capacity for three years. He has been a supportive influence around key business decisions within the business ranging from investment in production assets to opening the Begg x Co store in London.

Bruno has rich experience within the luxury sector; with a strong career encompassing business development, brand management and driving sales and profit growth within LVMH group and Hermès.

Bruno also has experience within British brands as CEO of Mulberry and John Lobb, a similar sized company employing 150 people in Northampton that is built upon the craftsmanship and quality of hand produced shoes, exporting most of their production around the world.

Bruno's appointment highlights the Board's long-term commitment to growing a strong luxury business, and to the strategy that includes both Begg x Co and Bespoke customers.

"I am absolutely delighted that Bruno Guillon is taking over as CEO after Ian. Having worked with Bruno on the Alex Begg Board for a number of years, I am confident that he is the right person to lead the company forward", says Jenny Lindén Urnes, owner of Lindéngruppen. "I would like to thank Ian for his wonderful contribution to Alex Begg, especially growing the business while developing a caring and inclusive culture."

As CEO of Alex Begg Ian has led the business through significant growth. This has included launching Begg x Co brand, purchase of Scott & Charters knitwear, navigating the pandemic and developing a more engaged and inclusive workplace culture. Ian is now ready to move into a new chapter in his work.

Ian, Bruno and the team have been and will continue to work together for an effective transition during March and April.
